Many WordCamps and WordPress meetup groups offer beginner workshops. However, most of these sessions aren’t recorded.

In this article, we’ll share free WordPress training videos. These videos cover all the topics discussed in a typical beginner workshop.

You’ll find step-by-step guides to help you get started with WordPress. From setting up your site to customizing it, we’ve got you covered.

These resources are perfect for beginners who want to learn at their own pace. Let’s start your WordPress journey with these valuable learning tools.

WordPress Workshop

At WPBeginner, we have been publishing WordPress resources for more than 15 years. Over the years, we have helped thousands of WordPress beginners start their blogs and small businesses using WordPress.

We have helped organize WordPress meetups and WordCamps, and members of our editorial team have attended and spoken at WordPress events.

This gives us unique insights and expertise to help beginners uncover WordPress and its potential.

In our experience, a practical WordPress beginner workshop aims to help new users get started. The topics discussed are:

They also talk about using WordPress (creating posts, adding pages, embedding images and videos, changing the template, adding widgets, customizing menus, installing plugins, and many other tips and tricks).

We have covered all these topics in our free WordPress training videos, including step-by-step video tutorials and complete courses.

Let’s take a look at some of our most helpful WordPress tutorials:

How to Attend a WordPress Beginner Workshop LIVE

Finding a WordCamp or a WordPress meetup group near you is the best way to attend a live WordPress beginner workshop in person.

WordCamp is a non-profit conference that focuses on everything WordPress. It is held just about every week worldwide. The full schedule shows if there is one near you.

Alternatively, you can find a local WordPress meetup group in your area. Currently, there are more than 769 local WordPress meetup groups in 107 countries.

WordPress meetups

Unlike WordCamps, WordPress meetup groups are smaller and allow beginners to interact and mingle with the WordPress experts in their area.

It’s important to note that not every WordCamp or WordPress meetup group holds beginner workshops. You should check the schedule to make sure it’s being offered.

If it isn’t, then you can always contact the organizers to see if they can offer a live beginner workshop. Most of the time, meetup and WordCamp organizers are receptive to suggestions.

Thanks wpbeginner for this awesome guide on WordPress workshops and meet ups.
I have always skipped these events and never been thinking it would be useless, but I was wrong about this.
I will interact with WordPress meet ups which are held routinely every month.
I had no idea about its usability and benefits.
But now I have understood the importance of grouping with WordPress experts.

    Hello WP
I don’t think I have ever attempted anything that is so confusing and overwhelming as trying to own a WP site. Even to get your training videos is a major in cryptic mazes and frustration at a level I have not experienced for many years.
I think I will prob give up with WP and find an easier option that is clear and concise and more info and less words of confusion
Sorry but it’s not for me

I find your site just as frustrating as trying to figure out wordpress.org. I am wondering if I made a mistake in switching over. I am unable to figure out the simplest things like how to transfer my site counter over to the .org address. I have no idea how to add widgets and other simple things. I’ve tried copying and pasting codes as tutorial say but…NOTHING happens.

    Argh.
